About
Liberty Blvd STEAM Elementary School’s media center is a vibrant hub for learning. It consists of a well-stocked library, Chromebooks and computer stations, one STEAM lab, and collaborative workspaces.
The library section has a large collection of books available to students and staff for checkout. Students love to browse the shelves looking for that special book to read. With over 14,600 books, from the classics to technology and everything in between, students have access to a world of adventure, an incredible amount of information, and stories that capture their imagination and inspire their thinking.
Our media center staff provides instruction to struggling readers (intervention), daily read-aloud focusing on common core standards and research-based projects. Students and staff use these resources to collaborate, practice problem-solving techniques and presentation skills, research, form complex analyses, and develop a foundation of ethical and responsible use.
LUNCH at the library media center on Wednesday. Students enjoy their lunch at the media center while working on a variety of projects, from readers' theater to make-and-takes, they explore their creativity and inner scientists. Students participate in STEAM activities utilizing the design process to create, innovate, fail, persevere, and learn in science, technology, engineering, art, and math. The purpose of our STEAM lab is to provide students with an engaging project-based STEAM learning experience that will better prepare them for the 21st century.
We have many exciting things happening in our media center and many resources available to our students and staff. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate us.
